I Wish For My Classroom....
Coming this fall you can apply to the Education Foundation to post your classroom wish list on the “I Wish for my Classroom…” Web site.
Start dreaming of things that you would like to have to assist in enhancing the learning environment of your students. It needs to be a tangible item and having a picture of the item for people to see will help.
In August/September there will be an application form for you to fill out and get approved before your wish is posted. Your wish will remain on the website for 60 days. During that time you have the opportunity to direct your student’s parents, your friends, and your family to donate directly to your wish. Make sure you have the grand total for your wish. Once you have received that amount, the Education Foundation will inform you and those funds are available to you for your wish. What is so nice about this is that people who donate to the Foundation are donating to a 501(c)3, which allows them to take a tax deduction as well as an Idaho Education Credit when filing their returns.
The sooner you have your one wish determined the sooner your wish will be on the site.
