TRANSPORTATION

SUBDIVISION REASSIGNMENTS AND CAPS ON ENROLLMENT

To help relieve overcrowding at existing schools, on occasion the district reassigns new subdivisions from their attendance zone to a nearby school that has available space. Such subdivision reassignments are made after a subdivision is approved for development and before construction of new homes begins.  In other cases, the district will cap further enrollment at an overcrowded school and reassign new residents to a nearby school that has some available capacity.

To verify that you have identified the correct attendance zone for your local schools on the maps above, please check the following list of reassigned subdivisions to ensure that your neighborhood has not been reassigned to another area school: 

CURRENTLY, THERE ARE NO REASSIGNED SUBDIVISIONS.

ENROLLMENT AT TWO SCHOOLS HAS BEEN CAPPED FOR THE 2008-2009 SCHOOL YEAR.

DESERT SAGE ELEMENTARY: ALL NEW STUDENTS WILL BE ENROLLED AT LAKE HAZEL ELEMENTARY

PARAMOUNT ELEMENTARY: ALL NEW STUDENTS WILL BE ENROLLED AT CHIEF JOSEPH ELEMENTARY

WALK ZONES

Areas wihin 1.5 miles of all schools are considered to be Walk Zones in accordance with Idaho State Code and District Policy. Busing is not provided in these areas.
