The Meridian Joint School District provides more educational job opportunities than any school district in the state of Idaho.  With new student enrollment increasing by more than 1,000 students a year, the district is regularly looking for quality teaching applicants.  This year district's enrollment grew by more than 1,200 students, and the district opened a K-8 school and a new high school.  Because of the increasing enrollment and the opening of new schools, the district hired 175 teachers this year to fill new positions and to fill positions vacated by retiring educators.
