Frequently Asked Questions

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Salary Schedule Movement

Q: How do I move from Level I to Level II?

A: CLICK HERE for the certified salary schedule.

Waiting Lists

Q:  If I'm on the waiting list, when will I find out that I made it into the class?

A: If you are on a waiting list for a class you will be notified by e-mail that a spot has become available for you in the class.

Q:
I'm number three on the waiting list; should I go to the first night of class?

A: If you at the top of the waiting list, (from number one to five) we encourage you to attend the first night of class. Unfortunately, people do not always contact us to tell us that they are not going to attend a class and there are typically several openings. If you are at the top of the waiting list, the odds of you getting into that class are high. If you are at the bottom of the waiting list then please wait until you hear from the District Office.

Q:
This is the third time that I've been on the waiting list; why does this class always fill up?

A: There are certain classes that will always fill up within the first couple of days of registration. They are either very popular, or they are one of the five required classes needed to make a level change. The best advice is to get your registration in as soon as possible! If we do have a large waiting list, (about 15 people or more) then we will try to run another session of that class. When the class will run typically depends on the schedule of the instructor.

Cancelled Classes

Q:  Why do the classes that I sign up for always get canceled?

A:  We only cancel classes when there are less than twelve people in a class or extenuating circumstances.

Dropping/Adding a Class

Q:  I need to drop a class, do I get my $20.00 check back?

A: If you need to drop a class, you need to call the District Office to let us know. If you call within a week before the class begins, then we will send back you check. After that one week deadline, we will keep your check. However, if there is a legitimate reason, i.e. family emergency, etc., we will return your check. We would like to know as soon as possible if you can not attend a class, this will allow us to give other people an opportunity to take that class.
