Students need to arrive at school by 7:40 A.M. All students must be in their room by 7:45 A.M. Students arriving later than this time MUST be checked in at the MAIN OFFICE by a parent or guardian. Students will receive a PASS to admit them to class.
When a student is absent from school, a parent or guardian should call the school by 10:00 am that day using the attendance line 350-4271. Please include the parent/guardian name, student’s name, reason for absence, and estimated date of return. After 5 days, unverified absences will be noted as a truancy.
If your student will be checking out during the school day for an appointment, please come into the main office and CHECK your student out. This is for the SAFETY of our students. They are our number one concern. Upon return to the school, please CHECK your student back in. If your student is bringing a note back from his/her appointment, it is NOT NECESSARY to check them back in. Their excuse from the appointment serves that purpose. All absences that can be documented with a doctor’s note are EXCUSED. Please make sure to get those notes to us and ASK for them from your scheduled appointments.
It is our desire to interrupt classes as little as possible. Our main objective is for students to learn. If you need to pick your child up during the school day, please write a note to that affect. This will serve as a reminder and a hall pass for the student and inform the teacher that the student must leave the class at a specific time. In doing this, we do not have to interrupt classes. The student is here on time for you to sign them out, and you are on the way to your appointment in a timely manner. Thank you for your cooperation.
