Santa Project 2013
The Lowell Scott community is celebrating the 28th year of the Santa Project. Last year, over $6,000 was collected to purchase gifts and food certificates for students and their families in need here at LSMS and our feeder elementary schools. This year's goal is $7,000! Currently, each grade level is competing to raise the most money for this worthwhile endeavor. Curent standings as of 12/5/2013 are:

7th grade - $1,093.34
8th grade - $785.78

The Meridian School District is moving to a semester grading system. In the past, students received a final grade each quarter and grades started over for the new quarter. This change is aligned with how high school grades are calculated.
Semester grades will take into account 18 weeks of course work (all assignments, tests, quizzes, EOC tests added together, average is semester grade). Parents will have the opportunity to see a progress report at the end of each quarter, but the grade continues toward the end-of-semester grade.
Please call 208-350-4071 if your child is absent. You can call this number any time, 24 hours a day!
