Joint School District No. 2 (less formally referred to as the Meridian Joint School District) covers 384 square miles and serves the cities of Meridian, Star and Eagle, western and southwestern portions of Boise, part of Garden City and the unincorporated areas of Ada County that lie btween these municipalities.
As you follow the link to the individual elementary school sites, you will find that they are organzed into three categories:
- Schools with a Boise address ("Boise Area Schools")
- Schools with a Star or Eagle address ("Eagle/Star Area Schools.")
- Schools with a Meridian address ("Meridian Area Schools")
In total there are 28 elementary schools in the district, with a new elementary school, Paramount Elementary, scheduled to open in the Meridian area for the fall of 2007.
