Joint School District Number 2 has four comprehensive high schools and three alternative high schools.

A program that consists of a comprehensive curriculum designed to accommodate students with varied learning abilities is offered at all the district's high schools. In addition to the required credits for graduation, students may choose elective coursed in art, business, computer science, foreign language (French, German, Spanish, Latin, Japanese), journalism, music, speech, agricultural sciences, health sciences, and theater arts. These courses are presented in such a way that students can choose a career field and design their course of study toward secondary study or work in that field.

The district's high schools also offer band, choir, jazz band and choir, and orchestra. Students may participate in boys football, basketball, track, tennis, golf, soccer, and baseball. Girls may participate in volleyball, track, tennis, softball, soccer, and golf. Each school is equipped with gymnasium facilities as well as outdoor playing and practice fields, tennis courts, and tracks.
