The Paramount Core Literacy Program is for students who want to make reading and writing the cornerstone of their elementary school education.
While still providing the necessary curriculum, Paramount’s literacy program allows students to base the rest of their learning on reading and writing. Students are given opportunities to learn through daily oral and written reviews of language skills, reading development through writing, and in-depth study of phonics. By teaching students the mastery of the phonograms that make the English language, students are better prepared for more advanced level reading and writing classes in the upper grades.
Paramount also offers students a more systematic way of teaching. Using direct and sequential instruction, reading and writings skills are better taught. This is a key component to the literacy program to help students excel.
