School Size:  Summerwind Elementary serves students in grades K-5.

The Math and Science magnet program includes one classroom at each grade level, grades kindergarten through fourth grade, focusing instruction on the areas of math and science. 

 

Admission:  In cases where there are more students registered than there are spaces available, preference is given to siblings of students previously enrolled. Once a student is admitted, they are guaranteed their seat from year to year.

Transportation:  Shuttle bus transportation is provided for students residing in the primary attendance area. Students are picked up on the bus route that transports them to what would be their regular elementary school. From there, all the math and science students ride on shuttle buses to Summerwind Elementary.

School Size:  Galileo K-8 Math & Science Magnet serves students in grades K-8. 

 

Attendance Area:  The primary attendance area for Galileo is that part of Joint School District No. 2 north of Chinden Blvd. and west of Cloverdale. Students living outside of this attendance area may attend if space is available.

 

Admission:   Students are enrolled using a lottery, if more students sign up than there is space available in any given grade.  Applicants will be sent notification of the results of the lottery on by Spring Break.   

 

Transportation:  Shuttle bus transportation is provided for students residing in the primary attendance area. Students are picked up on the bus route that transports them to what would be their regular elementary school. From there, all the math and science students ride on shuttle buses to Galileo K-8.
