Welcome to Silver Sage Elementary. With an excellent team of teachers and staff, we work to create a positive and effective learning environment for your students. As a first year schoolwide Title 1 school we are are now able to test all students to identify those that need additional small group instruction. Through Federal Funding we can provide cerified instructors to provide both Math and Reading interventions. We are focused on helping all students succeed.
Silver Sage is one of the smaller, neighborhood schools in the Meridian School District with enrollment around 325 students. With this number we continue to have smaller class sizes which are beneficial in the learning environment. We have adopted positive behavior expectations that focus on being safe, responsible, respectful and cooperative. Students are recognized weekly at our schoolwide Wednesday Morning meeting assemblies and those that continue to exhibit these behaviors on a daily basis could be nominated to attend a monthly lunch activity. We have high expectations for all our students and enjoy being able to reward those that continually strive for excellence.
We encourage parents to volunteer and appreciate the work they do to better our school and community. We have a very active P.T.A. group that supports many events, programs and Title 1 Family nights throughout the year. Attending school to have lunch with your student is a great way to connect with them and their friends. We continue to look for ways to involve our families.
