CAUTION: You should NOT be on this page unless you have completed the task called “Course Introduction” that is explained on the portion of the Getting Started link in this course. This is the page that you will use to access all of your assignments. They are listed below according to their unit titles. Please read the introductory paragraph that briefly describes the unit and then simply "click" assignment that you need and OFF you go....... flying through cyberspace to your very first assignment!

Unit A: Global Geography; "A World View"
This unit will introduce and review the physical and political geography of the world. Emphasis will be placed on political divisions (country locations) and significant natural features (bodies of water, mountains, etc.)

Important note, PLEASE READ!

Assignments UAA2 - UAA7 are designed to teach you where the significant nations of the world are located and some basic knowledge about the geography of the world’s continents. The knowledge that you will gain because you completed these assignments, will add a level of “appreciation” and understanding to the rest of the assignments that are in this class, that you would not have gained without completing the map assignments!

Unit B: Global Wealth & Poverty; "Where's the Money?"
The world will always have the “haves” and “have-NOTs”; the “rich” and the “poor”. Do you think this is true? This unit will examine the wealthy nations/regions of the world and the world’s poor nations/regions. Emphasis will be placed on the reasons for this wealth and poverty. Historical and current definitions of communism, socialism and capitalism will be studied as they relate to poverty and wealth. Global trade and international trade agreements/organizations will be defined and analyzed.

Unit C: Global Politics; "Who Rules?"
Governments can be characterized in this way; those that restrict freedoms, and those that promote and protect freedoms; those that are characterized by conflict, and those that are known for their cooperative attitudes and actions. This unit will define and study the types of governments that are found in the world today. The historical roots of selected governments will be briefly examined. Emphasis will be placed on how these governments function as they relate to peoples rights and responsibilities.

Unit D: Global Values & Religions; "Why do People Think That WAY??"
Why do people believe what they do? Why do they think that way?? This unit will examine the world’s major religions and values. Emphasis will be placed upon tolerance and understanding through learning about both the common values and the differences of the world’s major belief systems.

Unit E: Idaho & the World; "What are Idaho's Global Connections?"
“It’s a Small World” was a popular Disney song. It was also created into a ride at Disneyland! Can you sing it? Do you know the tune?? This final lesson that you will complete before you do your Final Project, is designed to teach you about Idaho's ethnic and national connections to the world.

Unit F: The Final PROJECT!
This unit will allow YOU to examine what you what to learn about. Did we leave something out that you think should be included in a class like this? Is there something MORE that you want to learn about that interested you in one of the assignments that you did?? In other words…..in this last unit you have the opportunity to learn what YOU want to learn! Emphasis will be placed on your content and creativity.
