Juniors - SAT on Wednesday, April 16th

Junior Parents:

Wednesday, April 16th, marks the third annual state funded SAT School Day for Idaho’s juniors.

Our district participated in bulk registration for all junior students and Collegeboard informed us that students should have received their admission tickets for the SAT School Day administration via their home address as of Friday, 4-11-14.

Due to the high volume of students not yet receiving their admission tickets, Collegeboard has granted a one-time exception to the ticket policy.

Therefore, Admission tickets will not be required as long as students provide a valid photo ID

We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this may have caused.  Please contact Deborah Hansen (counselor) at Hansen.deborah@meridianschools.org or 350-4235 if you have questions or concerns.

Please remind your student to arrive at EHS for check-in at 7:30 a.m. in the Upper South Gym.

If your student receives their admission ticket, have them bring it to check-in.  Students also need to bring a photo ID, #2 pencils, calculator, and snacks (for break only).

Attention Parents:

Beginning second semester there will not be lunch detention. Instead, students will be required to serve a 30 minute detention for each tardy. Detention will ONLY be on Wednesdays from 3:00pm-5:00pm or Saturday mornings from 9:00am-12:00pm in the Social Center or Cafeteria.

This is how it will work….if a student has 1 tardy then they will have to serve a 30 minute detention. If a student has 2 tardies then they will have to serve a 1 hour detention or two 30-minute blocks. Students are required to complete the detention within one week of receiving a tardy. If a student does not serve the detention within one week of the tardy then they will be issued another 30 minutes of detention.

If there are any questions or extenuating circumstances that arrive, please feel free to contact the appropriate grade level Assistant Principal.
