PARTICIPATING SCHOOLS

Christine Donnell School of the Arts

Other Information:

  • School Size:  Donnell serves students in grades k through 8.
    The available space by grade is as follows:
    • Kindergarten: 40 seats
    • Grade 1 through 8: 60 seats per grade
  • Attendance Area:  The primary attendance area for the Christine Donnell School of the arts is that portion of Joint School District No. 2 south of I-84. Students living north of I-84 may attend if space is available.
  • Admission:  In cases where there are more students registered than there are spaces available, preference is given to siblings of students previously enrolled. Once a student is admitted, they are guaranteed their seat from year to year.
  • Transportation:  Shuttle bus transportation is provided for students residing in the primary attendance area. Students are picked up on the bus route that transports them to what would be their regular elementary school. From there, all the Art School students ride on shuttle buses to Christine Donnell.

 

Pioneer School of the Arts

  • School Size:  Pioneer serves students in grades k through 5. The available space by grade is as follows:
    • Kindergarten: 115 seats
    • Grade 1 through 5: 120 seats per grade
  • Attendance Area:  The primary attendance area for Pioneer School of the Arts is defined by Chinden Boulevard on the north; Locust Grove on the west, Ustick Road on the south, and the school district boundary on the east. 
  • Admission:  In cases where there are more students registered than there are spaces available, seats are filled by lottery. Preference is given to siblings of students previously enrolled. Once a student is admitted, they are guaranteed their seat from year to year.
  • Transportation:  Transportation is provided for students residing in the primary attendance area. Transportation from outside the primary attendance area is not provided.
  • School Calendar:  Pioneer School of the Arts operates on a single track modified school calendar.
