Joint School District No. 2 (less formally referred to as the Meridian Joint School District) covers 384 square miles and serves the cities of Meridian, Star and Eagle, western and southwestern portions of Boise, part of Garden City and the unincorporated areas of Ada County that lie btween these municipalities. In total, there are 31 elementary schools throughout the district.
